While these events are not part of the official Wyrdfest programme, We are very pleased to promote them as an excellent means of getting maximum wyrdness out of your visit to west Norfolk.
Saturday 3rd October - St Nicholas' Chapel
King's Lynn Steampunk Society Bazaar
Everyone is welcome to ther 3rd annual King’s Lynn Steampunk Society Bazaar. Expect multiple Steampunk and craft stalls selling jewellery, clothes, hats, alcohol and assorted crafts. Cake and coffee will be available throughout the day.
A ukulele band will be providing entertainment and the return of Rock the Organ. There will be fun and games including Tea Serving and Competitive Corset Lacing
Saturday 3rd October - Majestic Cinema
Sing-a-long Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
Dressing up is encouraged at this special screening organised by King's Lynn Steam Punk Society.

Tuesday 6th October - Stories of Lynn Museum
Crime and Punishment and Witch Trials School Day
Bring your class to Stories of Lynn to learn about the Witch Trials and Crime and Punishment through time.
Meet costumed characters to learn about the Witch Finder General, Matthew Hopkins, and his right-hand man, John Stearne, who visited Lynn to run trials. Take part in a court room session in the historic town hall, view the archive documents of witchcraft punishments and view the gaol cells and devices used.
October 6th 10am – 2pm with a lunch break.
Sessions are adaptable to suit the needs of every class.
£6.50 per child, and all accompanying adults free.

Saturday 10 October - True's Yard Fisherfolk Museum
Titanic Tales by Don't go into the Cellar
Based on real-life testimonies of those who survived, this stage show commemorates the maritime disaster by focusing on lives changed forever by the tragedy and the myths entwined with the events of April 1012, including the alleged mummy's curse that caused the sinking.

Tuesday 27th October - Stories of Lynn Museum
Potion Brewing: 10:30am-11:30am and 1pm-2pm
Join Elizabeth the Witch at Stories of Lynn to brew up some magical potions to take home and learn about real witch bottles found in King’s Lynn.
This fun, sensory and historical activity is sure to engage children 5+ and adults alike!
Activity free with child admission plus one accompanying adult free.

Friday 30th October & Saturday 31st October - Stories of Lynn Museum
Escape Room: A Witches Night in the Cells
King’s Lynn, 1644: you have been accused of witchcraft after a series of crop failures and unexplained illnesses in the village. Tomorrow, you will be taken before the magistrate and almost certainly condemned.
Locked in a cold stone gaol cell, you discover that a previous prisoner - a cunning herbalist accused of the same crime - left behind clues.
Rumour says she uncovered evidence proving the accusations were fabricated by Witchfinder General Matthew Hopkins.
If you can find her hidden evidence and escape before dawn, your name may be cleared.
